The 3FL Games website has been polished and is now in pristine showroom condition, ready to be unleashed on the world. Along with cosmetic changes, users will find a slick new layout that makes navigation easier and more user friendly. We’ve also added buttons to link 3FL with Facebook and Twitter so spreading the 3FL word is easier than ever before. My favourite feature of the new site is the Freezone video player which shows the latest gaming channels from Freezone, like GameTV.
For those who aren’t familiar with 3FL Games (shame on you), it’s iiNet’s hub for the gaming community. It provides the latest news, downloads, game servers, gaming videos and discussion forums. Whether you play games on an Xbox or Playstation console, an iPhone or iPad, or if you like to keep it old school and game it up on your PC – the 3FL website is the place to call home.
The best part is, 3FL is entirely based in iiNet’s Freezone so all 3FL game servers, files from the download vault and content from our local Steam mirrors are unmetered quota for iiNet, Westnet and Netspace customers. This allows gamers to not only play on local servers with incredibly low latency, but they can download all the latest game demos, movies, patches and content without taking a huge chunk out of their monthly DSL quota.
Now that we’ve got the new website done and dusted, we’re not stopping there. Next up on the 3FL front is the Battlefield 3 beta. We’re happy to announce that we’ll be hosting servers for the upcoming open beta for Battlefield 3 which starts on 27 September 2011 for early access. There’s even talk of a competition to give away some early access beta keys, so head over to 3FL for all the latest on Battlefield 3.
Things are going to be full steam ahead on 3FL in the coming months, so check in regularly and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all the gaming latest news, reviews and competitions.
