iiNet’s Ultimate Showbag Competition will close on August 20th, 2012 – see our terms and conditions for more info!
UPDATE – iiNet’s Ultimate Showbag now contains the Samsung SIII, Connect 4, ‘The Avengers’ comic, ‘X-men’ comic, Bertie Beetles lollies , some surprise iiNet goodies, a magician’s set, tickets to a concert and a PS3!
UPDATE 2 – We have a winner! 3 in fact…
Natasha Shan, who won us over with this great meme entry featuring her cat:
Tim Phillips, who crafted this witty poem capturing everything he loves about iiNet’s Utlimate Showbag:
What I love most
About iiNet’s Ultimate Showbag
Is the array of delights,
And entertainment filled nights
Does my heart desire a sleek PS3,
Or a shiny new Samsung Galaxy?
Although, reading The Avengers and X-Men is preferred
By those like myself – a proud, noble nerd
A family evening of magic
And Connect 4 may seem tragic
But would be truly completed
With the Bertie Beetles – depleted!
Free tickets to a concert
For a musician’s more than nice,
But what I await most
Is the surprise iiNet merchandise!
Jasmine Nelson, who gave the judges a giggle with this clever play on words:
I-ndulge in some luxuries
I-t’s filled with comics, tickets, lollies
N-ow my life feels complete
E-specially with nice treats
T-hank you for the ultimate goodies
Thank you again to everyone who entered. We were blown away by the high volume of great entries and it was a tough job choosing just three deserving winners.
Stay tuned for more fun competitions, coming soon!

Hi Shane,
That’s a very retro techie toy alright! We’ve seen some Tamagotchi apps out there, plus the Furby is making a high tech return.
We’ve had some great recommendations for retro toys so we may have to run it as another competition in the future.
Thanks for commenting!

For the iiNet show bag a Pebble watch – wwww.getpebble.com . I like my Rip Curl Ultimate Oceansearch watch as it fits my image but my techie side is curious about the Pebble and don’t think I would buy one but if given one I would be wrapped and then would have to wear it. I think anyone entering this show bag comp likes tech toys and would enjoy this watch with it’s Bluetooth 4.0 it can connect to iPhone and Android smart phones.

Hi Melissa!
To enter the competition you need to email competitions@iinet.net.au and finish the sentence “What I love most about the iiNet Ultimate Showbag is…”
However, voting for what goes in to the Ultimate Showbag is done through our Facebook polls.
So you can still enter, but it might be a bit more of a surprise if you win – just like showbags!
Hope that explains things!

Hi John,
Yes, the competition is still open to everyone even if they aren’t using Facebook.
The most important step is to email competitions@iinet.net.au and answer our tie break question by finishing the sentence “What I love most about the iiNet Ultimate Showbag is…” as that’s where we’ll draw the winner from.
However, voting in our daily Facebook polls is the only way you can choose what goes in the Ultimate Showbag.
We’ll be updating the blog with the latest items in the Showbag as the competition progresses so you can still keep track of the awesome prizes in our Ultimate Showbag Competition.
Best of luck!

My first ask for the show bag is to keep up the fantastic work you do. I joined IINET nearly 12 months ago and just recently i had some more problems. The way i have been treated by your crews from Aussie, NZ and Africa offices is just incredible. I doubt if you could find better people to handle your company it has been a pleasure the way they help with the small and big problems i have had.
My only other show bag asking is a new mobile phone the one i have is an original LG flip a few years old now. Just an ordinary phone without all these flash gadgets i don’t need them.

Also a great showbag should have a family bowling pass, and family movie ticket oe Luna Park family pass. maybe a pre paid visa card or iinet sim card with a months free credit. As well as a few cheap toys such as a water pistol and a few toys that will break in minutes leaving you in tears, as all good showbags from the 70′s had.

@Louise Moran, Hello Louise, What a great idea to be able to choose some of the gadgets in your showbag prize!!! I would love to see a prepaid iPhone in this Wow-tastic showbag with an iBGstar – this nifty little gadget is new in Australia and allows you to have Diabetes management on the go! It’s a Blood glucose monitor that connects to your iPhone or iPod touch to analyse your current blood glucose levels in mere seconds. As a casually employed teacher between many schools, I’m always on the go, this would make a very positive difference to my world!
