The BizPhone Self Service Portal empowers you to take care of business without calling in the techs. Here’s just some of what you can do online:

  • Turn on or off your call forward settings. Leaving the office and the team are on holidays? No worries, just direct the phones to your mobile while you’re on the move.
  • Set up customised schedules for business or after hours, or while the team are away over the Christmas holidays.
  • Update your voicemail message by uploading a new audio recording to the portal.
  • Want to share company contacts with your staff? Simply add group-wide contact lists to all your staff phones.

    I don’t believe that iinet rates as number one, unless all the others are making more false claims and errors than iinet. The nbn installation was a disaster and took over a month to rectify, plus having to spend hundreds of dollars to fix issues they failed to tell me about before I agreed to the nbn.
    Dealing with bikie gangs is far easier than dealing with iinet, and the managers send letters but are not able to be contacted to resolve the issues they caused.

    Since NBN my phone has been out of service at least once a week. I have to reboot my modem to restore service. When the power is off my phone is out of commission. The backup battery only lasted a couple of months and did not provide phone service when power was out so i no longer have a backup battery.

    when I connect my phone direct to NBN there is no service.

    i believe NBN will be listed as one of the major disasters of 21st century.

    The old system worked. IF IT AIN’T BROKE DON’T FIX IT!!!

      Hi Bill,

      It sounds like you have a Netphone (VOIP) service, this would be why the phone service requires an active broadband connection to function. A Netphone (VOIP) needs to be connected via the modem and not the NBN unit directly as the modem is where the configuration (username/password) is held to allow the service to register and make and receive calls.
      You shouldn’t need to powercycle the modem to keep the Netphone (VOIP) registered – This could indicate an issue with the Netphone (VOIP) service or modem. We’d recommend raising this with our Support (13 22 58) team so we can investigate and endeavor to get this resolved for you.

    I have had the same difficulty as John. This NBN IS REAL RACKET. with all of the providersetting on the same bandwagon. I did not ask for NBN.

    CUSTOMER for over 16 years.
    I am a sole trader currently on a NBN50 FTTN Limitless & $79..90. our Average monthly bill is about 130.00.

    Should I make the switch to BizPhone What changes are to be made to services provided and monthly approximate charges. Also the initial cost, please?

    THE NBN nightmare
    Signed up for the NBN with a service provider ,old telephone cables cut before we had the Gateway set up ,down for about a week ,had to use a mobile at our cost to try and get some
    support. Not
    Set up the TG 789 Gateway ,then realised it did not have good
    WIFI range ,could not match the Netgear Range Max Plus ! the one removed .
    Had to install a new Cat6 cable to have the Gateway in the middle of the House ,still poor coverage .
    Had to purchase a WIFI booster and another wireless phone to ad to our phone system more cost
    To Make matters worse ,the password was not sent via
    email to set up the Phone over NBN.
    Two days delayed again
    We also have a Dial out alarm system which now would not work over the NBN !
    Had to purchase a GSM modem for the Alarm to dial out over the Telstra net work..plus sim card .
    The Gateway is advertised as having two Telephone ports .
    Only One is activated !
    The other port will only work if you have a seperate telephone
    number for that port ! how many Houses will have two Telephone numbers unless you are running a Business .
    In the end it cost a fair amount of money to get the NBN set up .
    Do not sign up with a service provider unless they will set up the Router and assist at your House for free ,they are some which will do that for you .
    Oh almost forgot ,have to purchase a Battery to support the \
    Gateway as well ,more cost

      Hi Ron!

      Thanks for taking the time to post. There are lessons that can be learned from your experience and you’re right to document your concerns here. We’d like to touch on a couple of the points you’ve raised.

      * Your current internet connection should not stop working until the day of the cutover to NBN. If it does stop before then, we need to know. In the case of NBN FTTN/B/C connections, early disconnections can be caused by technicians accidentally cutting over the incorrect cable pair. Once done, this can’t be reversed, leaving you with downtime until the connection is completed.

      * The TG789 can be tweaked to improve its Wi-Fi performance and we have a handy article on how you can do so, here:

      * We strongly recommend that customers with alarms systems or other similar devices make contact and work with their alarm provider to establish what their needs will be, before moving to the NBN. Some solutions may not work with an NBN connection, so its wise to do this research first before moving over.

      * The TG789 does indeed have two VoIP ports, but Residential services can only have one working VoIP service attached to their internet connection, with only one phone number. It is not designed to have the same number to work on both ports.

      * The TG789 does not need a battery backup, so if you’ve purchased one, we’d assume that you’ve done so for redundancy purposes.
