What’s new on Freezone

One Day imageThose with big plans this Australia Day might be tempted to stay in this weekend and save their energy (and wallets) for the public holiday. To keep you entertained from the comfort of your couch, we’ve got some great stuff happening from our Freezone.

Some newbies for this month include a couple of special 10-minute previews of One Day and Johnny English Reborn which you’ll be able to watch in full On Demand on fetchtv.

One Day
Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Dexter (Jim Sturgess) meet on the night of their university graduation. After spending the night together they’re shown each year on the same date to see where they are in their lives. We see them every year on the anniversary of that date – July 15th – and they are sometimes together, sometimes not.

Emma is smart but success doesn’t come quickly for her, whereas for Dexter, success and women come very easily. Through the years they grow apart as their lives take different directions and they meet other people. But as they grow apart from those other people and their lives start taking opposite directions again, Emma and Dexter find that they belong with each other.

Johnny English Reborn image

Johnny English Reborn
Rowan Atkinson returns to the role of the accidental secret agent who doesn’t know fear or danger in the comedy spy-thriller Johnny English Reborn. In his latest adventure, the most unlikely intelligence officer in Her Majesty’s Secret Service must stop a group of international assassins before they eliminate a world leader and cause global chaos.

In the years since MI-7’s top spy vanished off the grid, he has been honing his unique skills in a remote region of Asia. But when his agency superiors learn of an attempt against the Chinese premier’s life, they must hunt down the highly unorthodox agent. Now that the world needs him once again, Johnny English is back in action. With one shot at redemption and mere days until the heads of state conference, he must employ the latest in hi-tech gadgets to unravel a web of conspiracy.

Don’t forget, you’ve also got access to four football channels on the Freezone including Chelsea Football, City Live TV, Barcelona TV and Real Madrid, as well as recent local baseball games. Check back here throughout the month for anything else we add to our Freezone repertoire.

A couple of years ago the barclays premier league was on the free zone, is there any plans to bring it back and possibly through fetch? Ptactically the only reason I keep Foxtel

  2. Rob says:

The Barclays Premier League became prohibitively expensive, hence us taking the route of iiNet acquiring the rights to City TV and Chelsea TV plus Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, it is unlikely we will get the Premier League any time soon however we will be adding more club channels to freezone / fetch and Setanta Sports is now live on Fetch, we will keep chipping away

  3. Miguel says:

Any chance of getting the everton tv channel?

  4. Miguel says:

Sorry to ask again, is there a likelihood that the Barclays EPL could be a paid subscription channel like setanta? Are there plans to add any additional channels to fetch tv like bbc knowledge or history channel?

Hi iinet, We have just come across the ABL baseball on the freezone. We had seen the link on the ABL website but didn’t think it would be much chop to watch. I now wish we had tried it earlier as we only watch our first game on Australia Day! Thanks for the coverage, and keep up the good work. GO the PERTH HEAT!!!!

  8. Ajit says:

  9. Jo says:

I was wondering if there is any chance you may consider adding a channel for the tween market….such as nickelodeon or disney. You have a toddler channel but you seem to have forgotten the bigger kids!
    Thanks

  10. Ed says:

Is there any news of Liverpool FC TV being added to Fetch TV?
I would also be interested in a paid subscription channel for the EPL so I can dump Foxtel.

  11. Abilio Henrique says:

Any chance of getting the Portuguese TV channel RTPi (international) on your fetchtv service? It’s currently broadcast over AsiaSat 5 free to air, but it requires a giant c-band dish.. Would be great to have this channel available on fetchtv. the other european usual suspects would be great too, like RAIitalia Asia (italian), TVE (spain), Luxe.tv HD, Fashion TV Hd etc. All channels that are currently available on freesat.
