We’d recommend giving this a look, as it will walk you through how to troubleshoot this.

I would like to install a second Fetch box in our house. Cannot see anywhere I can do this online. One question I have is if it will cost us another setup fee?
Hi Elizabeth,
This is absolutely possible – Fetch has the ability to run multiple Fetch boxes across the one connection, which we call Multiroom. We have a very helpful guide to this, including costs and how to set it up, here:
https://www.iinet.net.au/tv/fetch/faq/
Look for the heading: “What is Multiroom?”.

Please start emailing me when you are advised the NBN will be down in our area. It is down frequently and the NBN technician advised that all service providers should be passing the outage information to customers. We have not been notified once, and ai need the internet for study.
We’ve a property in a semi rural area which no land based NBN and has tall trees interrupting a decent wireless signal. Does this preclude us from using FETCH?
Hi Jack,
We’d love you to have a Fetch service, however, we do recommend ensuring that your NBN Wireless connection works as best possible first. If you do have items in the way that may stop a strong signal, this will affect all services attached to that connection.

I have fetch, but do not know how to use it. It has been a waste of money for me. Am I being billed for this monthly? Kindly advise.
Hi Matilda,
Fetch is charged monthly and has a wide range of features (https://www.iinet.net.au/tv/fetch/features/) to use, so we do want to ensure that you’re receiving the best value possible for it! We’d recommend having a chat to our teams about this as we are keen to help. Please feel free to get in touch with us via iiOnline@iinet.net.au, with your details and we can arrange for our Fetch team to give you a call.

That’s not what we want! We do have comprehensive troubleshooting guides to Fetch, here:

I have purchased a Fetch Mighty box from you which is supposed to allow 6 programmes to be recorded at once. However mine only allows 3.
Why is this?
Hi Estelle,
This is correct, but there in an important caveat to remember. From the FetchTV setup guide:
“The Gen 3 Mighty Fetch box has 4 tuners – three for recording and one for watching, and can record up to six channels whilst you watch a seventh. Each of the three recording tuners in this box can record 2 Free-to-Air channels from the same channel family at the same time.”
Remember that “channel families” refers to a group of channels from the same company, so the Seven channel family would be 7, 7mate, 7HD. Another channel family would be the Ten channel family: Ten, TVSN, 11, One.
Therefore, if you’re trying to record more than what the box allows for, this won’t work. If you are following the guide set out by Fetch and this still isn’t working, our fetch team can lend a hand.

When will you add Amazon Prime app and 10 All Access app to the Fetch Box?
Hi Conley,
We add as many features as Fetch (and the associated rights holders) will allow us to add, so when these become available, we’ll certainly make some noise about it.
– Leo
Can KAYO Sports be access via Fetch Mighty?
Hi Wal,
Great question. At the moment I don’t believe there is a KAYO app added by Fetch. If Fetch does update to provide support for KAYO sports, you can rest assured that we’ll make a hoot.

There is a Fetch Mighty box? How come that was not mentioned when we started our service early this year? We used to be able to record in our old box/address. Is there an additional fee?
Hi Jill,
Thanks for the comment. If my memory recalls, there was a shortage of stock for Fetch Mighty set top boxes earlier this year. We have since regained stock from Fetch and the mighty Set TOp Box is once again available. The Fetch mighty does have an additional upfront cost from the Mini at $399 for the unit.

Hi
I LOVE my Fetch box BUT…
1. To find a movie from the 8,000+ that are available I have to (im)patiently page through the A-Z. Is there a way one can search directly?
2. Hopefully slow motion is not far away.
3. When displaying the recorded material would be good if it also showed the %age used.
4. I used to be able to get YouTube but it appears to be no longer available – shame.
Love it
Roger
Does Fetch output at greater than 720p Standard definition?
If so how?
My TV is capable of greater than 720 but Fetch seems to limit it to this.
Hi Jim,
Fetch is able to output at 1080p and 1080i, so if you’re unable to achieve a higher resolution than 720p, we’d certainly recommend having a chat to our Fetch team!

Leo ,I’m interested in fetch, but not cope mess
…
Hi Leisa,
Thanks for the comment!
We’re sorry to hear about the confusion when discussing the Fetch service and we’re more than happy to field any concerns that you have.
Our Fetch mighty has the ability to record up to 6 channels over both Free To Air programming and any subscription channels that you’ve opted for through any of the additional channel packs. The setup for the service is in fact the cost of the set top box. Our Fetch Mini (no recording function) $59.99 and our Fetch Mighty with recording functionality for an additional $340.
3rd party streaming subscriptions are separate to the fetch service itself meaning any subscription fees to Netflix or Stan are paid directly through Netflix and Stan.
With respect to plan changes if you are wishing to move to $69.99 plan, provided the plan is available in your area, you are welcome to change plans any time. We’ll even cover the cost of on downgrade fee of $19.95 every 6 months.

I have NBN connection with iinet and am changing from Foxtel. Can you advise cost of package upgrade from Basic one to 50 unlimited downloads and Fetch settup costs and monthly fee. Also need to access VOIP.
Hi Grietje! Thanks for getting in touch! Our current plans can be found on our website – https://www.iinet.net.au/internet-product/broadband/nbn/plans/fibre/ – but if you’d like I’d be happy to arrange for a representative to give you a call to discuss the options available with you to find a solution that best suits your needs.
Please feel free to send us an E-Mail at iiOnline@iinet.net.au with your details and the best time to contact you and we’ll arrange for someone to give you a call.

Any future plans to have other channels like lifestyle and HBO or Showcase, to get more uk dramas etc
I am unable to launch ‘iinet’ on my fetch box. I therefore am not able to monitor data usage, or access the other goodies such as weather.
I have had my fetch box for a few years now, it’s a series 2 I think, do I need to upgrade it?
Hey Charles,
Before you think of moving to a newer Fetch unit, consider some basic troubleshooting first. Have a look at:
https://iihelp.iinet.net.au/categories/fetch
This should give you an idea of what to do and what steps you may need to take.
– Leo
Will Amazon Prime be available on Fetch in Australia
Hey Wendy!
This is something that Fetch themselves may be able to answer, as they do work with many content providers.
– Leo
Fetch TV does not have
channels HBO https://www.hbo.com
Channel FX https://www.fxnetworks.com
If it did then I would consider getting rid of expensive Foxtel and going to Fetch.
Is my new fetch box faulty?
When I select ‘iinet’ from the menu, the screen freezes and I have to EXIT.
Which means I do not have access to information such as data usage and weather details.
Charles.
Hi Charles,
Lave you tried turning off your Fetch unit for an extended period (say 60 minutes) and then turning it back on? It may well need an update. If this doesn’t help, we’d love to know so our team can lend a hand. You’re always welcome to make contact via our Social Media e-mail address: iiOnline@iinet.net.au with your details and we’ll happily help.
– Leo
Thank you leo I’ll try that.
Merry Christmas to you all at iiNet support.
Charles.
Thanks Charles, same to you and yours as well from all of us here at iiNet.
– Leo
Please advise how to minimise playback resolution for Amazon prime at account level or fetch box level
Very limited satellite here, thanks Mark
I have just set up a new Fetch mighty. Stan and Netflix are Ok, but I can’t find Amazon prime anywhere.
Hi George,
Amazon Prime isn’t available just yet, but keep an eye out!

Dear iiNet,
My Fetchbox has ‘spat the dummy’!
I’m getting the following message:
“Critical hardware failure. Contact your Fetchbox service provider”.
I’ve rebooted numerous times, to no avail.
Please ring me at your earliest convenience.
