Let’s dive in!

Get to know your self-service portal

So, what’s one of the factors that makes BizPhone so cost-effective? The product is designed to be as easy to use as possible, and you can configure the majority of settings and features through the simple self-service tool, Frontier Portal. That means you can skip expensive technicians and quickly take care of things online instead.

Our Frontier Portal Introduction guide will walk you through the basics of logging in for the first time, and how to navigate the various sections on the home page that will help you manage your BizPhone users and features.

Manage your BizPhone features

iiNet BizPhone has a robust range of features that help you customise the service to your business’s needs, and deliver a professional phone experience to your customers. Here’s some of our most popular BizPhone features and the iiHelp guides that will show you how to set them up:

Hunt Group

A Hunt Group allows a single incoming call to be diverted to several BizPhone handsets according to the Group Policy (i.e. rules) you set up. For example, you may wish to have all of your BizPhone handsets ring simultaneously, or ring in a sequential order based on who’s gone the longest without answering a call.

  • Hunt Group Introduction covers general settings, including how to add users to a Hunt Group, and how to enable call forwarding if calls to the Hunt Group are not answered/reachable.
  • Hunt Group Call routing explains the different types of Group Policies available, which determine how calls are filtered throughout your Hunt Group, and how to assign a Group Policy to your Hunt Group.

Auto Attendant

Auto Attendant is a voice menu system that plays a recorded greeting to incoming callers and allows them to choose to be directed to an internal extension. For example, callers could dial 1 to speak with Sales, or 2 to speak with the Help Desk.

  • It’s best to start with our Schedules and Events guide to set up schedules for your Business Hours and After Hours (you can also set up Holiday schedules!).
  • Our Auto Attendant guide will tell you everything you need to know about setting up this feature and uploading audio greetings.

Music on Hold

You can upload your own custom audio to replace the default piano music which is played when you place a call on hold. Whether you want some funky tunes or information about your products and services, that’s up to you!

Familiarising yourself with our Music on Hold guide is handy because audio you upload in this section can also be used for a number of other BizPhone features.

Even more great features

We could go on and on about BizPhone’s amazing features, but you’ve got a business to run. These quick guides will get you sorted with these essential features in no time:
