Look Professional: Get a Business Email Address

Hands up if you’re a business owner. Now keep your hand up if you’re a business owner whose business email address could use a little more personalisation.

You know the email addresses we’re talking about, we see them every day… [email protected], [email protected] and even [email protected]. These email addresses are splashed across cars, ads and business cards.

Isn’t it time small businesses used their business name (domain name) in their email address instead of using one of the free online addresses like Hotmail or Gmail?

Getting a domain name isn’t just for a web site. In fact domain names are more commonly used by businesses so that they can have that professional email address.

Last month iiNet launched Hosted Exchange, enabling businesses to:

  • Easily link their business name (domain name) to their email address (e.g. [email protected] instead of [email protected])
  • Get access to their emails via an easy to use web browser with no ads or spam! Which, by the way, also has the familiar Outlook-like interface
  • Free themselves from being tied down to a single computer and can get access to that urgent email wherever there is an internet connection
  • Sync their emails, address book and appointments across multiple devices (PCs, Macs, smartphones, tablets, etc.)
  • Get business email like features – send meeting invites, create group mailing lists, book shared resources like company cars or meeting rooms, etc.

At only $6.95/month, iiNet will manage the entire thing and you won’t need to spend money getting an IT guy to maintain your emails. From setting up Outlook to configuring your smartphone – we’ll be able to walk you through each stage until it all works just for you.

If you don’t already have a domain name, we can easily help you with that too!

So if you know a small business owner or if you’re thinking about your next start up, do consider getting that professional email setup.

    Hi Kevin & Team iiNet,
I like what you have to say about a hosted exchange and personalised business email etc. I plan to start up my own 1 man business and have been researching the various issues such as a business website / email id / hosting & domain providers / web-design and costs. This looks good and I will be in touch soon. Cheers, Haroon.

I have email accounts both personal and business with iinet and have been a customer through them (Westnet before) for 8 years. My personal email has been unable to receive ,unless computer is turned on, or store them at all since April 2012 (now June 2013). I have tried to get this issue resolved, but have received various excuses, told repeatedly issue is fixed or that I am repsonsible. With a new computer the issue is still here but customer and technical service seems to get worse the larger the company becomes, even to the point of not receiving a call back when calling for assistance (have just had my fifth occur & is why I have decided to comment) and now have to rely on gmail for messages. Phone and computer work well but I have tried patiently , to no avail, and am tired of talking to ears that are painted on. This is my last hope of finally getting some action to resolve the issue before I take my business to a competitor who may be able to provide the service they advertise. Good luck!

      Hey Mark,

I’m sorry to hear about your experience and the service you’ve received. It’s certainly not up to standard – particularly not getting a callback when promised.

I am more than happy to look into this if you’d like to send me an email ([email protected]).

      Kind Regards,

      Jess

      Hi Betty,

I’ve had to remove the password as this is a public blog, however if you’re having difficulties, try logging into Toolbox with those details. If you’re still having difficulties with the password on Toolbox, call us on 13 22 58 and our Billing team can check those details for you.

      Regards,
      Adam
