  7. Arnab says:

Been a diehard cricket fan for 12 years and Sixers since BBL01. I’ve met many of my favourite international cricketers and would love to get this opportunity to have a net session with the Sixers. If i do get in, I’m confident that Moises Henriques wouldn’t be able to pick my carrom ball even if he is one of the best players of spin in NSW. Maybe a photo with the 3rd best white ball and best test batsman Steve Smith as well if luck goes my way

I’m heading towards club cricket finals and really need to practice hitting dingers. I don’t want to bat 8 and not bowl all my life and I really think some sixers players could take me to the next level. If I won I’d bring my opening bowler with my so I could watch you guys pump him out of the park.

We have only been playing women’s cricket for this season and are yet to win a game, although we have come close on many occasion, we are yet to chalk up a win! The experience and guidance would be so helpful!!! Please pick us!!

  10. James Locke says:

Ive loved watching the sixers from BBL01 Because I am a bowler myself and was always inspired by Brett Lee! He was and is a great fast bowler and i love watching him rip thr stumps out of the ground. That passion moved on to Mitch Starc and later Sean Abbott, Ben dwarshius who are all great fast bowlers and can all really whack a long ball too! Even the satisfaction from watching other players is great too…. Stoinis scoring 147 against us was insane and great to watch no matter who you support! Only in the BBL

If you’re a Sixers fan or you know one – tell us why you, or a loved one, love cricket and the BBL season and want to join the Sixers in the nets with their mates.

My name is Beth Zupp. I am 14 years of age and going into year 9 and i have been playing cricket since i can remember. I only started playing full games of cricket when i was in year 4. I really enjoy the game of cricket as the rules of the game really help me to think strategically. Being a teenage girl it has been hard to find a team to play with, as the school that i go to doesn’t allow girls in their team. I am doing everything i can to make sure i still have my cricket ability and will always continue to try my best. I am a huge fan of the sixers, and will always support their efforts no matter the result. Whenever i am told that i am going to the cricket ground to watch the sixers play, i am overcome with excitement and straight away get into my support mode. I have met Moises Henriques a couple of times, and straight away know he is an amazing captain and team mate. When he made his debut from the horrific injury that he suffered, i held a huge sign up saying “GO MOISES.” He saw the sign and came and gave me a high five! The feeling of a sixers player coming and saying hello to me was the best thing ever! If i had the opportunity to play in the cricket nets, and even possibly meet the team, would be such a privilege, and honour to be able to do the thing i love the most. I hope i am considered for this opportunity, and i understand if i am not chosen as i know there are a lot of fans out there desperate for this experience! Thank you for being such an amazing team! Continue playing to your best and don’t forget to…SMASH’EM SIXERS!!!!! 666666 :)

My best mate and I have been diehard Sixers fans since BBL 1, and we’ve never met any of the players cause cricket tours have got in the way. We’d love to get the chance to show them our skills and talk to them about our future plans with cricket!

  14. Ive gone for the 6ers since BBL 1, i started going for them because of an awesome 1 handed catch Steve smith took on the boundary… now my favourite player is still Steve and Team is the 6ers…

I just think it would be an awesome experience to meet some of the guys and girls of the 6ers :)

  15. Jon Cronin says:

Hi I remember going to the first ever bbl game it was Sixers vs heat and I remember Brett lee steaming in and clocking Brisbane heat and New Zealand national brendon macullum and splitting him straight across the nose, I also remember being behind the Sixers dugout and Nic Maddison and sok giving us sweat bands that they had worn that game. I’m a massive cricket lover and have played the game for 19 years now and I love every single bit of it. To go up against some Sixers in the nets would be an unreal experience. Hope I hear back from you guys cheers. Go Sixers

  20. Jamie Whitby says:

I barely see members of my family (young & old) for most of the year. But every year we all manage to find some time to go to a couple of sixers games. I’m not sure if it’s the lively crowd, the exceptional players or the fact that we get so excited we almost fall off our chairs (it’s happened before and it was hilarious). But big bash season is my favourite season for all of the above reasons, so why not add the extra experience to our memories of cricket together!

  21. Séan Clayton says:

Hey my name is Séan Clayton and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to have a Nat session with the boys from the Sydney Sixers to which I have followed ever since the first ever big bash. I love the game of cricket no matter what format it is and am always willing to get in and have a go of a Saturday arvo with my club team. I am always taking any opportunity to improve my skills within the game and I feel it would be great to be given the privilege to have a hit with the Sydney Sixers who have always had a very strong line up in every bbl they have participated in. The bbl this year has been great with the introduction of more world renowned super stars such as AB Devilliers and new and up coming stars that will be able to win as many games as they can for Australia. To sum off I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to attend the net session with the sixers so that I can learn any tricks that they may have acquired and take the most from the experience.

  22. Both my son and daughter love playing cricket. Theu play for a great club “Oak Flats Rats” home of Brett and Shane Lee. They both play juniors and grade for their club. Both of them have made many friends state wide, due to their love of the game. To have an opportunity like this would encourage their cricket to improve and love the game even more than they already do. We watch the big bash as a family and feel that cricket makes our family closer.

    • Erin Kavanagh says:

  24. Yael Levy says:

My 10 year old son Ari is a massive sixers fan. He loves watching BBL and everything else cricket related on a daily basis with his dad – who is also a massive cricket fan. Ari dreams of playing cricket for Australia and recently after going out onto the SCG ground at the end of last sixers home game he talked about wanting to partner up and bat with Josh Philipe when he is old enough, in the way that Philipe recently got to do with his hero, Steve Smith. It would be inspiring beyond belief for Ari to have a net session with the sixers and his cricket mates. I believe it would only spur him on further with his dream to play at the SCG with Philipe one day.

    • Erin Kavanagh says:

      Hi Yael,
